Although Austen shows them intrigued by each other, she reverses the convention of first impressions: “pride” of rank and fortune and “prejudice” against Elizabeth’s inferiority of family hold Darcy aloof, while Elizabeth is equally fired both by the pride of self-respect and by prejudice against Darcy’s snobbery.

How do I do this? This book was amazing!!!! And it is my classic for the 2018 Book Bingo. I am so proud of myself!! Maybe I’ll complete this thing after all. But back to the book, the characters were awesome and the plot was like nothing I’ve ever read before. If you want to hear more then read on.

The characters were a mix between funny to read about and me screaming about why some people weren’t together yet. So, not a very good combination. I’m pretty sure lots of people have said this but I’m going to as well, I knew that the marriage between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy was coming. Sorry, I needed to get that out there. I just realized something. I don’t know which Bennet sister I am!!!! Maybe Mary, because she reads books? That brings me to a question. Where was Mary during this book? We only saw her ten times tops. That annoyed me. We saw every other sister, why not Mary? Because I’m sure that you don’t want to hear me rant I will just move onto to my favorite character in the book, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is really really cool. I’m not sure if she would rule high school but it is a good possibility. Just like Lydia would be on the cheerleading team just to see if she could get a football player. (And I have lost the plot again.) Elizabeth was also very self-confident. (And Mr. Collins was an idiot.) She didn’t take the first offer of marriage she got, or the second (Mr. Darcy proposed to her, sort of, twice). So, all the power to her. I hope that she and Mr. Darcy are happy together.

The plot was really really intriguing and different. Social drama and running away with guys that you barely know(yes I’m talking to you Lydia). Even though that’s not the drama that we face right now it’s just as interesting. The marriage situations were my favorite. Mrs. Bennet was either yelling at the girl in question for not accepting the offer or strolling around declaring that the girl was her favorite child. It was really funny to read about how moronic Mrs. Bennet was. The conversations that the characters had were very funny. I think that this book deserves its title as a classic and I hope that everyone reads it.

The setting was also very interesting. I loved how the characters were always traveling. Pemberly was my favorite estate in the entire book. It wasn’t a very hard choice. That one has the biggest library. *my little sister screaming “And it has Mr. Darcy!!” Shut it little child. You know nothing of this world.* As, I was saying, it has the biggest library and that is why I would like to live at Pemberly. The grounds are also supposed to be really beautiful. Have I said enough? The answer is yes.

As you can see I loved this book quite a lot. It is one of the best books I have ever read. It is also the classic for my 2018 Book Bingo. Please remember to fill out my survey. You can find the link to it on my about page. Thanks for Reading!!! Have a Great Day!!! -Annalee and Buttons
